Big Changes

Well folks a lot has occurred since my last journal, hence the delay in writing. The biggest change is I have found a home and in the Escrow process and as of May 18th I will be a HOME OWNER!! Crazy! The whole process has been extremely exciting and at times a bit overwhelming. One day I met with my Realtor to look at another set of houses that I picked out to look at and while in her office her co-worker explained how she just put a beautiful four bedroom up on the market over the weekend. So I looked over to my realtor and asked her if we could squeeze it in. In the mist of all the other houses and a true Texas rain storm (which was a downpour) I found the house.

The house is a four bedroom, two bath, two car garage heaven.  You are probably thinking why four bedrooms, well originally when I  was looking I was thinking simple, three bedroom, two bath, then I started to realize I need a craft room, a guest room and a spare room for my girlfriend who is moving in with me as a roommate while she goes back to get her masters. With this said, I did a little research and the cost of another room was doable. And next thing you know, I am in the process of buying a house that has everything I ever wanted. I had been searching for a good three months before this beauty fell into my lap and I honestly think that is how I knew this house was it!!
Once I put in the offer the rest was left up to God and once again He provided and they accepted the offer!!! Then it got crazy, paperwork needed to in order and going to the inspection, reading reports, approving reports, with this said y’all probably have bought a house before, there’s a lot to think about and go into it. The closing date was set and the first thing I did was great airline ticket’s for my mom, brother and his girlfriend to come out for the move day. Originally, Jon was going to drive my stuff out, but it was more expensive to have him drive it out then have a service do it.  A little research and referral from the family I live with I found ABF, a moving company, who will drop off a truck to be filled at the Anaheim house (where all my stuff has been stored) and drive to Whitehouse, Texas.
Yes, Whitehouse, Texas!! Whitehouse is a little, little town ten minutes from Tyler, with some of the best schools. (side note: important to know when looking at buying for resale as well as for own children one day) I came across Whitehouse, through some friends in the church who live less than a half a mile from the new house. In addition, I could get more for my buck and that was important to me. To give you the feel of how small Whitehouse is, it has a population of roughly 7500 people.  That’s nothing!!
Ever since the house went into escrow my mind has not stopped going with things that I need, things I want to do and the importance of having my mom out here with me when I put my first home together.  Purchased my first washer and dryer!! Waiting on the fridge until I save a little more as well as want to re-measure the space.  Basically, I am getting everything lined up and ready for May 24 when the truck arrives in Whitehouse and we (family and all) move my stuff into my new place!! I will send pictures of the inside once I decorate it, so it looks like me instead of the previous owners.  Friends, this is an invitation to come visit whenever you would love to, I have rooms waiting for you!!
That’s all for now. Blessing from Texas!
